Welcome to the Journey

We are so glad you are here!
We will go on a Journey together to achieve incredible results. And best of all we are establishing a better relationship with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. You can’t do better than that.
We are going to share with you how we lose weight without the struggle of dieting. You see, the Journey, the name we have given our program, is not a diet. It is a companion to whatever diet works best for you. Instead of focusing on the physical aspects of weight loss, we will focus on the mental and spiritual aspects of weight loss.
You probably know the diet that works for you. You also know that if you could just stay on that diet, you would lose weight. It is your mindset that keeps you on your diet. It is the spiritual side that assures your focus will be on succeeding as you turn to God for your strength and steadfastness.
You will find many resources on this site. Different books and insights into new diets. You will find a library of our past Podcast episode, The Phoenix Chronicles.
We will succeed together with God as our guide. We will worship and pray together as we gain strength in numbers.
Welcome to a new day. A new way of life. An exciting future for each one of us. Welcome to our community.
Let’s go for it!!

About God.
Everyone here is coming from a different place. A different struggle, a different background, a different lifestyle, etc. So even if you were raised in church and have a deep relationship with God or if this is your first time hearing about Him, we want to share a glimpse of who God is, what he says about you, and what he promises us.
Lets talk about God...
Who is God?
Acts 17: 24-28, Psalm139:2-4, John 4:7-9, John 3:16, Psalm 33:11-13
God is the creator of the Universe and everything in it. He is all knowing, self-sufficient and self-existent. He is perfectly holy and perfectly loving. He is righteous and pure. God is the same yesterday, today, tomorrow and for all eternity. He desires to have a personal relationship with YOU as the dear and unique child that He made. He loves his children and creation as a perfect Father. He is also a just judge who will rightly judge the world. Yet in mans wickedness, God has made a way for man to be right with Him through the sacrifice of His Perfect Son. God sent His only son Jesus Christ to Earth as fully God and fully human to sacrifice and die for the sins of all mankind so that we may be redeemed with God in eternity.
What does God say about you?
Ephesians 2:4–5, 1 John 3:1, Ephesians 1:4–6, Romans 5:8, 2 Corinthians 5:17
First and foremost, God says I am His beloved child. God is not timid about expressing His boundless love for us; He repeatedly affirms in Scripture that we are born of God, His very own treasured children. God says I am chosen, adopted into His family through Jesus Christ to be His child forever. God says I am valuable. He calls me His workmanship. God says we are the result of His artistic skill and craftsmanship. God made us in His own image and likeness. God says I am redeemed. So valuable are we to God that He purchased us with the precious blood of His Son, Jesus Christ. Through the blood of Jesus Christ we are forgiven and set free from sin. God says I am a new person in Jesus Christ. Through His salvation, we gain an altogether new identity and a whole new life. God says I am His friend. Through a relationship with Jesus, God shares His heart with us. God says I am a member of Jesus Christ’s body. Because I belong to Christ—united with Him in His life, death, resurrection, and glorification He says I am an heir to His Kingdom and His glory
What does God promise?
Romans 1:16–17, 2 Corinthians 1:3–4, Philippians 1:6, Matthew 6:26, Matthew 11:28–30, Acts 1:8, John 14:2–3,
God promised salvation to all who believe in His Son. The greatest gift we have is the free gift of Gods salvation. God promised that all things will work out for good for His children. This is a blessing we experience when we face struggles in our lives. God promised comfort in our trials. God has a plan and we can trust His plans. God promised new life in Christ. Salvation is the beginning of our new lives. God promised to finish the work He started in us. God does nothing halfway and he doesn’t leave things unfinished. Including the work he does in our hearts and minds. God promised peace when we pray. His peace is protection. God promised to supply our needs. This may not match what we want earthly, but we will have what need.

What does Jesus promise?

Jesus promised rest. He longs to carry our burdens for us. Jesus promised abundant life to those who follow Him. Following Jesus not only benefits us spiritually, but that benefit ripples into all other areas of our lives. Jesus promised eternal life to those who trust Him. We will be with Him forever when we put our trust in Him fully. Jesus promised His disciples power from on high. We have the Holy Spirit living inside of us when we accept Christ as our Savior. Jesus promised that He will return for us. Jesus will come back for His followers and put an end to all evil.

*This only touches some of the promises listed in the scriptures of the Bible.
